Anyone know where to get a replacement power button or how to reattach the power button? It came out and wont stay back in. Can still turn on and off but really want the button to stay in place. Again, doesn’t affect usage at all…everything works fine.. it’s just the physical button itself wont stay in place
As a workaround (that loose button can short out with constant use) you can use the System Preferences:Energy Saver to turn on/off the machine by Schedule. Of course it would turn on and off the same time each day but you could probably live with that. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
Actually getting to the back of the button to secure it is fairly easy. Just remove the fan and speaker that are covering it and superglue it into place.
