iPhone 5c What happened - Top ribbon cable is torn just before Volume up/Volume down What doesn’t work - Volume buttons, Power button, Speakers, Vibration (Vibration switch itself works and I can switch silent mode on) I have ordered a new cable, however I am puzzled - why the loudspeaker doesn’t work? Loudspeaker is at the other side of phone. I wonder if this top ribbon cable could have affected the loudspeaker somehow, or do I have some other unknow defects, besides the torn upper ribbon? EDIT: After shaking the phone, loudspeaker starts to work again at some moments. So I guess that that it is not related to power button problem.
the loudspeaker makes contact with the charge port flex cable at two points. make sure the two points are lining up with the two pins on the loudspeaker. What repair did you do to the device that you damaged the volume flex? (word of caution, replacing the volume flex on an iphone 5c is a dreaded process and is an annoying pain in the rear. Be very careful to not tear your new one)
