Got a Mac Mini in for the fan connector replacement which has been replaced, however the wires going into the power button from the logic board have been pulled off by the customer when fitting the dual hard drive enclosure. I’d like to strip and resolder the wires to the power button PCB, but could anyone confirm which wire goes where (black and a grey one), since I haven’t got another one to hand, and it’s possible they are in the wrong position. Thanks.
I don’t think it matters, which goes on what side. Double check using a Ohm meter to see if one side of the button contacts is chassis ground, if neither are it makes no difference.
