There is a peg in the middle of the socket that dosen’t match up with the desigh of the plug from the power supply. Do I have the wrong power unit?

LeeB, there are three different power supplies for the xbox360. If you have a peg in the middle of your plug, you will need a 203watt power supply. Take a look at the image and more information about this on here. So, you have the wrong power supply for your unit. Hope this helps, good luck.
