My original problem was a bad hard drive. It would load to the gray screen with the Apple logo and the windmill, then it would freeze. I since replaced the HD, but now it beeps 3 times when I turn on the laptop. I replaced the RAM, but it still gives me the 3 beeps when I turn on the laptop.
It’s still a RAM problem. Could be you put the wrong RAM in and could be a bad RAM slot. Please list the last thee letters of your serial number and we can tell you which RAM to use. Meanwhile, try using only one stick at a time in each slot, starting with your old RAM.
