Vizio M470SV turns on then powers off after a few seconds. What could cause this and what is the fix?

gregloholt if it truly shuts down, check the power board. Possibly bad caps or MOSFETS. Check for obvious damage. If it does not turn off completely just turns dark it is a backlight issue. Check power board, main board as well as T-Con board. Vizio TV’s do have known issues with voltage regulators failing on the main boards. Let us know what you find.

How long would it last me turn the backlight down the back light works not turn it down but how long would that work but it did work when I turn the backlight now
