While I wait for my repair parts I’m reading up and studying videos on replacing the charging port . I see that some people loosen the logic board and lift it up slightly to remove the charging port instead of disconnecting camera, etc. in order to remove the logic board first. I’d feel more comfortable not removing all the bits to get to the logic board but I’m worried this will not be safe. Any feedback? Ooops, this is an iPhone 7 Plus.

It is always best to remove the logic board on an iPhone 7 plus charge port replacement. After the replacement put the board back in and connect the flex to make sure it is in the right position. Than go ahead and reassemble the phone.
