hey everyone, I just tried to restore my phone from backup my phone now turns on and says press home to upgrade. My home button hasn’t worked for over a year and I have been using assistive touch but it won’t let me use this to open the phone. On top of this itunes wont let me do anything because the phone has a passcode and I need to access the phone before I can use it with itunes
You could try installing a replacement Home Button. It won’t give you TouchID but it will give you the “click” function. this may be sufficient to get past the “Home Button to Upgrade” message.
