Certain times when I press home button to wake the phone, it does not wake the phone, and I have to press the home button again. It happens, when the device was not used for a few minutes and lies on the table? Could be a faulty home button flex, try replacing the home button flex, and hopefully it should be good after that! Although, with this being an iPhone 5S, replacing the home button will lose Touch ID, you could also try unplugging the home button and making sure it’s seated in correctly. :-)
