Hi, I just bought a new Macbook Pro.. so today when I opened the lid, the screen started flickering slowly, then when I clicked the mouse it would go crazy. I have never dropped it, or anything like that, it is a few days old. I had to force turn it off by holding power off button, after the restart, the problem is gone.. for now.. Oh and one last thing, there is a little light leak coming from the top of the display, it is very hard to see, and yet I saw it when I’m using the Mac in total darkness. I have included a video of the flickering, and a photo of the leak. I bought insurance at firm called Securator, but.. should I return it to the electronic store I bought it at instead? or what should I do?

Return that thing ASAP, i would probably recommend a refund too.
DOA machines happen…Even with Apple. I recently opened an sealed iPhone X with a nice fat scratch on the glass. Luckily for the customer I noticed it, otherwise he’ll have a !&&* of a time explaining that to the customer service.
