I have a mid 2010 macbook pro 13. I have Sierra on it i beleive one day it started being slow.so i ran diskutilty and checked hd said it was good started cleaning up old downloads and what not. It frooze up on restart shows the prohibtory sogn wil start into internet recovery bit wont show internal hd however holding option shows internal hd os and revcovery tried booting into that revcovery sat with a full bar under the apple for.almost 24 hours. Tried installing ma. Os on external said there was no.formware present. The disk spins with no odd sounds. Anh help would be dope. Im incloned to beleive faulty hardware but thoight the prohibit sign was for software. I didnt update anytbong before this so im lost thanks.
One of the most common failures on this model is the hard drive/IR cable. Examine the cable right where it climbs over the last step and onto the optical drive.
