Chosen Solution
Replaced this iPhone 6 and the proximity sensor not working, all other parts work fine. The issue is weird, if make a call or answer a call, the sensor becomes very hot, scorching actually, I think it will burn itself at some point and it scares me a little bit. However, if no phone call, the sensor is fine, not hot at all. Try use a marker to cover the sensor, failed. Try clean the sensor, nothing changed. The last solution is to replace the sensor cable. Don’t have it in stock. Will try later. Any idea? Thanks,
The front camera assembly needs to be replaced. Sounds like it’s faulty to me. You can get the part from here: iPhone 6 Front Camera and Sensor Cable Guide to replace the part: iPhone 6 Front-Facing Camera and Sensor Cable Replacement
Maybe the wire is not connected properly. Try to open the device and make sure all the wires are properly connected.
