After the 3.5 update my controller would work correctly. I have managed to work out that i think it has to do with the bluetooth? The controllers work perfectly when connected to ps4 via usb cable and when within 1m of the unit (cable might not do a thing, might just be that its close) any further than 1m and it goes haywire and usually just turns itself off like its out of range. Is this a coincidence or the 3.5 update. done it with 2 brand new controllers as well so its def the console side.

Hi! Usually this type of problem is caused by a bad WiFi antenna. I haven’t heard of this happening because of the update but that’s always possible. Here is the WiFi antenna repair guide if it helps. Good luck!

Still no luck fixing this. Bluetooth range issue for sure. Is there extenders?

i work on a service store to video games in dr and we have the same trouble some many times we fix a few reinstalling the full update but have another s still bad and we make it a reballing on the blue tooth and others fixes but has anothe few than never wnat to work again sorry 4 my bad english im latino and dont know much how to write

I have the same issue, but only when I have the external 8TB HD extended storage connected to the PS4 and playing a game on the System HD. It all stopped after I disconnected the external. So I doubt there’s Bluetooth or WIFI connectivity issue. Some bug in the update may be causing it.
