Chosen Solution
When I power up my PS4 I get a screen that says putting PS4 into rest mode, but the screen is also very gltichy with static and color bars bouncing around. The console seems to be working correctly in the background, just not feedinhg the correct vidoe to the screen. Sound is fine and I can use the controller to go through the menu by memory and put the console back into rest mode just fine. Unplugging, etc seems to have no effect. Was fine yesterday, have had this same setup for a number of years now, nothing has changed or been plugged/unplugged recently.
I was finally able to get it to boot into safe mode, after that everything was fine. Not sure why it wouldn’t go into safe mode at first, but after several attempts it did and that resolved the issue. Thanks
