Few months back i cleaned my ps4 after that i cannot update my ps4 and the cd-rom also doesn’t work it doesn’t do anything then i took it to the service centre they took a long time and then said the my IC that updates the software and controls the cd-rom is burned and i need to replace the mother board of my ps4. I researched the error it says improper assemble of ps4 now i got a doubt is there really any IC that contains the software and controls the cd-rom or they just wanted to scam me. The slim long ribbon was also a bit messy when i opened my ps4 apart. Thankyou
It could be a blown fuse that controls power to the blu ray drive. That could cause issues with installing updates.
